Brushy Creek Lake Park

Cedar Park, Texas

Brushy Creek Lake Park is a 30-acre public park including picnic pavilions, restrooms, a water playscape, and trails - as well as a portion of the Brushy Creek Regional Trail. Amenities and parking are nestled within the trees and special measures were used to protect natural areas during the construction process and maintain the native character of the site.

noteworthy.

Use of a vegetative filter in lieu of a typical sand filtration pond provides water quality while reducing construction costs and long-term maintenance for the City.

The parking lot is designed to evenly spread stormwater runoff and minimize areas of concentrated discharge to reduce maintenance.

One of the citizen's favorites is Brushy Creek Lake Park. With the water playscape, pavilions, trails, and lake, this park receives the highest use of any community park in town. The work performed by [Blayne Stansberry] on this project exceeded our expectations. The construction drawings were submitted on schedule which allowed us to open the park to the public when promised. Although the floodplain and drainage concerns were a challenge with this project, the park continues to function very well in that regard and users continually provide us positive feedback about the park. I would not hesitate to recommend Stansberry Engineering to anyone needing the highest quality work delivered in a timely and professional manner. I hope there is an opportunity for us to partner again on other upcoming parks projects for the City of Cedar Park.
